I bought my first leaf in 2013. It was a bit of a "joke" bit of a "toy". I was about to start a new software start up and believed the Leaf would be cheaper to run. Boy was I right, it was miles, miles cheaper than my Audi A4 sport cabriolet. It got me through some very financially tough times...
Wow. Temperatures around here have risen from 5 degrees to 15 degrees and the Nissan Leaf has had it's leaf boosted by around 10% (note, not scientifically measured, just gut feel).
Or somebody put a new battery in the leaf!
Did a 100% charge last night, current air temp around 10 Degrees C. Leaf Spy reports the following:
252 GIDs (89.7%)
SOC 93.3%
19.5 kWh remain
So I'm confused as to whether I have 7.7% battery degredation, or 10.3% battery degradation. I am pressuming GIDs (although not entirely sure what they...
Well that really panicked me and so went out & bought an ODB2 blue tooth dongle and grabbed Leaf Spy Pro. I will do a 100% charge tonight but currently I am seeing SOH: 92% which I am presuming is "state of health" ? So hopefully I've not got that much battery degradation. I'd be gutted if I did...
If you use Eurotunnel then Folkestone Nissan, just around the corner from the station has charging but unfortunately it's a 16amp fast charger rather than a rapid charger.
I contacted Eurotunnel and apparently they are discussing putting in rapid chargers at the port, on both sides, but nothing...
Wow, how?
Down hill all of the way? 30mph speed, climate control off, everything stripped out of the car, low atmospheric pressure and wind behind you?
I do have the 2011. If there are 1.5 bars hidden then that would make the rapid charger accurate in the % soc? I.e. 17% left but reporting only 3 miles.
Is the update something that happened later? If so it would explain why today the GOM peaks at around 80 miles after a 100% charge whilst...
...I plug it into the rapid charger which reports battery at 17%
How can that be? With 17% of the battery to go I would expect more like 8 miles at least? Is the rapid charger wrong or did I have more range, in reserve, than reported?
It sounds like you are seeing something similar to me. I have 2011 Nissan Leaf, around 6k miles. I am in UK so all temps are Centigrade.
Test route is the route from Guildford to Portsmouth along the A3. This is NOT a flat road but neither is it a mountain climb. It does vary by around 300 feet...
It looks so tantalisingly close but the lack of charging infrastructure in Folkestone / Dover / Calais looks like a real problem. There is a rapid charger in Maidstone which will definitely get you to the ferry / Eurotunnel but after that it seems a blank. Has anybody taken this journey before...
I had been experiencing this recently. I was initially alarmed that the seals had given way in 2011 Nissan Leaf but then noticed it happened whenever we got into the leaf with wet coats on.
I find 30mins of AirCon, whilst plugged into a station, dehumidifies the Leaf beautifully and the...
Is it possible to remove these? If I have charged somewhere, with my cable, it includes it on the map automatically. So e of he charge locations were one offs and so I'd like to remove them. how can. Do this?
