I'm glad to hear that Carwings on your iPhone is working better. It always takes me logging in twice and waiting about 5 minutes before I can start the climate control... Just tested it and it still takes two separate login attempts and about 5 minutes to actually log in. :x

I had a problem with my Leaf charging on day 3. It sounded like a similar issue that you had although it never started charging. I had it towed to the dealership and they reset the computer and all has been good for about 4,000 miles. I too was a little panicked at the first sign of trouble...

It's not possible to get water on the Leaf's engine...'cause it doesn't have one. :D I hadn't noticed any water intrusion though. Maybe when we get some rainier weather.

My automatic transmission requires that I pull it back (one click) to go backwards. :D

So, I was out on my boat this weekend and I kept putting the hammer forward expecting it to go backwards. I made that mistake at least three times. I don't get out on the boat often enough, but I never made that mistake before I owned a Leaf. :lol:

I agree that the system is poorly designed. I do the same thing (lower the temp setting down as low as it goes) to make sure the heat stays off when I only want some fresh air. Today I was driving home from work and it was about 90 F outside and I had the A/C set to about 75 F. It was cool in...

I do have environmental tendencies. I compost my food scraps, I raise a lot of my own food, I don't waste resources, but my primary reason was to create demand for electric vehicles. I was concerned that if no one bought them, car companies would give up and go back to making crappy ICE cars...

I'm having my Leaf tinted tomorrow and they tell me the tint goes on the inside. What are they doing on the outside of your car? Maybe they took the whole thing off to be able to get the tint on the inside? :?

I commute 74 miles round-trip and so far have had no problem. Most of the trip is highway at 60 MPH. I also have to go over a 1,200 foot mountain. I use the A/C when I need it and generally make it home with 1 to 2 bars left. The key is driving slow (60 MPH) and learning to "drive" the Leaf...
