The headunit in my SL has been locking up playing MP3s. Occasionally it will change screens but perform no function at all, nor will it switch source to AM/FM. Even removing the usb stick and reinserting it will not help. Restarting the car will sometimes temporarily fix the problem.

The threshold hold for the brake lights seems to be around 10-15% regen with the e-pedal.
I think that when the brake lights come on, they’re actually being applied. My theory is that the brakes and regen ramp up together, it doesn’t seem to be regen followed by braking.
This is likely to...
I personally use epedal all the time but I don’t like the brake lights coming on under such light regen conditions. Makes me look like I ride the brakes and don’t know how to drive.
If you get rear ended, it has everything to do with the idiot behind you following too close and not paying...
That is true. In the winter the light output did have a higher color temperature. Most headlights are terrible in the rain, especially halogen lamps so I didn’t notice a difference in the rain. Even my 2018s headlights are barely passable in the rain.
Going off on a tangent, I’m really...
My 2015 had halogens. Terrible headlights. I live in a rural area, just terrible on the highway. The high beams are terrible too.
The major issue is the voltage going to the lamps. Incandescent lamps are designed to run at 14.4vdc, but our leafs tend to be in the 13-13.6vdc area. This has...
I’m hesitant to believe propilot uses more than 100wh, even that is pretty high. It’s a very simple system in terms of its capabilities. The other sensors are always in operation anyways so there would be no effect on consumption there. To put it in context a 15w apu should be able to handle...
It’s the only rational explanation because I use it extensively. It’s been a struggle driving the car the whole time to test this theory.
Had it 9 weeks, 11400km on it.
@darthpuppy
I think you’re on to something. The adaptive cruise in the Leaf is excellent at holding an exact distance, but it will exactly follow the driver ahead.
The wife and I both believe it has to do with the way propilot will stab the throttle or the brakes and isn’t always smooth in...
I’ve been noticing on my 2018 SL that using propilot seems to use more charge. My commute to work is 94km one way. If I use propilot and go no faster than 95km/h I’ll get to work with 56-58% remaining. If I drive myself and don’t exceed 105km/h I’ll get to work with 63-65% remaining.
This...
Did you ever do the merrit run?
I did a 197km round trip tonight, cruise set to 95km/h all highway in the lower mainland, got home with 10% remaining.
I'm not brave enough to try a merrit run, even after topping up in hope. I might if someone else goes first!
