Did you ever do the merrit run? I did a 197km round trip tonight, cruise set to 95km/h all highway in the lower mainland, got home with 10% remaining. I'm not brave enough to try a merrit run, even after topping up in hope. I might if someone else goes first!

I asked my question poorly. Does it charge by voltage or timer. If by voltage, it would cover the parasit draw as the battery was used up.

Will it charge the battery if there is a parasitic draw? I'm thinking of putting a deep cycle battery in for wiring up a dashcam. When the car is not in use it will be plugged in.

Today traded in my 2015 with 101,000km on it, for a factory ordered 2018 Leaf SL in that redish color.

The gears that are in there are very large for the application, they can’t be that heavily loaded.

The maintenance schedule for my 2015 specifies 180,000km interval for the reduction gear oil change. I’ hoping to replace this car before then and let it be someone else’s problem. Just cracked 100,000km though.
