List of Nissan LEAF Dealers in North America

Does anyone have a complete list of all Nissan dealers in North America who are selling the LEAF? It would be interesting to know which ones are selling the LEAF and which ones are not.

    Nissan LEAF in Portugal

Yes I am. That was an engineering prototype car and whilst it was very competent, it wasn't the most fun car I've ever driven. The cars I'm now testing are production models and they are much better and my articles will reflect that. Incidentally, I have reserved my own Nissan LEAF...

    Nissan LEAF in Portugal

The first country in Europe to get the Nissan LEAF in 2011 is Portugal, on the far south-western tip of Europe. I've flown out to Lisbon in Portugal for a couple of days to drive the Nissan LEAF over here. If anyone has any questions they would like me to get answers to whilst I'm out here...

    Official Mitsubishi i-MiEV Thread

Totally disagree with you on this one. OK, I accept for the American market, the i-MiEV is very small. In Europe, we regard cars this size as cars, whilst I understand you measure them as a shoe-size. I've used an i-MiEV as my daily car since last December. Drive an i-MiEV and a LEAF...

    Official Coda Electric Car thread

In my opinion, the car needs a bit sharper definition at the front, but the side profile looks very Volvo-ish to me. If the quality is good, the car could sell reasonably well. However, they need to back it up with excellent warranty, servicing and support and a decent network of knowledgeable...

Driving electric vehicles at Millbrook Proving Grounds

Here in the UK, there are three proving grounds that are used to test cars before they go on general sale. The grounds are used to put the cars through a series of tests, from high speed, long distance driving, to city driving, mountain driving, hill climbs and pretty much anything else. There...

Video of LEAF traveling at 98 MPH (157 KPH)

At low speeds, the motor is virtually silent. But when you floor the accelerator, the car darts forward and the sound from the motor is really fantastic, like a jet fighter about to take off. Personally, I prefer it to a V8.

ABG Blog and New Member Intro

I'll second that - that is one of the best articles about Nissan and the LEAF that I have read for a very long time. And hell - I've written some of them! :D Congratulations.

UK ordering for Nissan LEAF has opened

Nissan UK are now taking orders for the Nissan LEAF here in the UK. They're asking for a £243 deposit (that's around $400). I've just ordered mine in red :) I should be taking delivery sometime around March.

    Official Mitsubishi i-MiEV Thread

Mitsubishi have just announced the UK price for the i-MiEV: at £28,990 it is exactly the same price as the Nissan LEAF. Starting January 1st, next year, UK buyers will be able to get a £5,000 off the price of both cars under the UK Government subsidy scheme. This will bring both cars down to...

    Having second thoughts

Are you sure the battery pack is greater than 24kWh? From my discussions with Nissan technical people here in the UK, they are telling me that the total capacity of the battery pack is 24kWh. Nissan have already released some real world ranges based on different conditions and they are not...

    Having second thoughts

I have to say, your range worries me. I think you are going to struggle to comfortably get 75 miles in those sorts of conditions on a day-by-day basis. If you could plug in and charge up at work, no problem at all - that top up would be enough even at 110 volts. As a rule of thumb, my...

    Wheego Whip

These small companies are going to struggle to survive the next couple of years, unless they do something very different. Companies like Tesla and Aptera may do well, because they do something completely different, but companies like Wheego and Coda are going to have their work cut out unless...

    Musk says Leaf battery primitive.

That is correct. I haven't pulled apart a Tesla battery pack, but what I would expect to find is a system for monitoring the temperature of each cell throughout the pack with a fail-safe shut down system should a cell overheat. Maxim do a wonderful temperature and humidity sensor that is ideal...
