    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

I knew that my 2011 would never make it to 100 miles. So when I got a 2015, I was ready to go for it. When Very low battery warning came on, the GOM changed from 9 to ---. Since I was less than 1 mile from home, I didn't have any worries. Here are some pictures:

    Range and heat activation Issues

The 2011 and 2012 LEAFs just had a resistance heater, in 2013 they added a heat pump to make the heating more efficient. It takes a good bit of power to warm the car initially, then less to keep it warm. The best way to heat the cabin is to pre-heat while plugged in, or use Carwings to start the...

Need Help Deciding Between Two Leafs

There was a battery 'tweak' for 2013, but no real improvement. However, 2013 brought in the heat pump, which is significant help for the range in winter. Your commute is short enough that it may not be required, but it should help. Having turned off the heater in my 2011 last year to be able to...

How can you select which nav screen to show when turning on?

I don't know about the 13 models but on my 11 the status screen will always come up on turn on. That screen has three different lower screens you can cycle through. I prefer the redio on the top and energy on the bottom. I think that is the most useful screen, and the fact it is there once you...

2014 May Plugin Sales Discussion : Leaf 3117, Total 12053

While that is true, the 1,606,264 sales were of light duty vehicles, which includes small trucks. If we remove the truck sales, the montly cars sales are 773,916, so the new number is 1.56%. It has been over 1% since about May of 2013, but I wasn't always able to get to real numbers. Thanks to...

    DFW Metroplex

I have used those two chargers and did not see other LEAFs there, but did answer some questions from people that saw me charging. BTW, the Garland Road one is in Dallas. Gary

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

The update came in today, and my bat has 51.04 AHr, 59.12 Hx, and 77% SOH. That is a better health than I expected. A 100% charge is about 208 gids and 90% SOC according to Leaf Spy.

    Handsfree and Droid Bionic.

My Bionic works fine with the car. To test the microphone in the car, use the voice command button on the steering wheel. It is a TERRIBLE interface, but will help you determine if the mic is bad.

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

It looks fine. It will be interesting to see how it changes in the heat of summer, as my AmpHrs have been constant recently.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

After hanging on for dear life as long as possible, bar 11 went to the big bit bucket in the sky. It is odd that it was there in the AM, but when I was leaving work it was gone. My AmpHr readings for yesterday were: 10/17 AM 51.3779 10/17 PM 51.4041 It has continued dropping even though...

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

When I tried it on my 2011, it switched the door handle unlock between unlocking just the drivers door or all the doors with just one push. I was so used to the double push I switched it back.

    Tuning the Battery Aging Model

Most of the time the car is parked in the sun, however I noticed a HUGE typo in my capacity reading. The correct value is 52.22. It was 52.31 yesterday. Low about 80F, high 95F. Charger set on end timer to complete at 4:00 AM. The car was a dealer demo for the six months before I leased it.
