Question about white/neutral in existing wiring

Thank you both for confirming my initial thought: put a cap on it in the j-box!

Question about white/neutral in existing wiring

Electricians: I am replacing my old Blink EVSE, which used a NEMA plug, with a new ClipperCreek EVSE, which is hard-wired. The NEMA plug was wired up with a feed of black-red-green-white wires. The new ClipperCreek EVSE is hard-wired with black-red-green wires. :?: Question: What do I do...

Amended Settlement in Klee v. Nissan

I just got this letter in the mail because I opted out... not really knowing why in the first place. I have a '11 with 27k at 3.5yrs. I think I'm going to be losing my 2nd CB shortly. I really don't have the time to file against Nissan in small claims court and obtain necessary proof in order...

Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

I opted out. At least, I sent a certified letter to that effect. Although, I thought the extended capacity warranty was communicated prior to the class action lawsuit so they were mutually exclusive. In any case, if anyone is tracking a list of opt-out'ers, please add me to it.

Form Letter to "Opt Out" of the Nissan Class Action by Oct28

Opted out. If anyone is keeping a list, put me on it. I didn't see anywhere that explicitly tied the extended warranty to the suit. Especially considering Nissan sent me the updated warranty in the mail quite some time ago and this suit is occurring now.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I usually don't charge to 80%. However, I can provide Ahr and relative GID, SOC, etc. next time I go out to my car.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Unfortunately I just joined the club. 24 months almost exactly, 16,5xxx miles and 11 capacity bars :( I haven't done a full 100% charge yet to get the stats, but "health" is reading 70.7%... FWIW.

Regen bubbles disappearing at ~50% SOC

I have noticed this on my 2011. Outside temperature has been mild - 60s or 70s and my SOC is between 40%-70%. I'll be driving to the highway and I have all regen bubbles. Then I get on the freeway going 30mph in traffic and all of a sudden I lose one, maybe two bubbles. I get off the freeway and...

    The Battery Replacement Thread

I am curious to know if the pack they are providing is a brand new pack... i know that the official language stated that it would get you back up to 9 bars, which infers a refurbished pack.

    Break in ?

Yeah, that makes zero sense. The battery does not have to be trained, nor does it have memory. This was what my dealer told me about breaking in my LEAF: Dealer: "Don't take hard right turns for the first few weeks." Me: "Why?" Dealer: "You don't want to turn-over a new LEAF. Me: "Hardy-har-har"

2013 SV has the clicking sound

That's so interesting because I noticed a clicking sound the other week on my 2011. Here are the times I noticed the sound... From a stop, in drive, i let off the brake and accelerate to 3-4mph then apply the brakes and *click.* Then I put it into reverse, i let off the brake and allow the...

Service and battery usage report cost in Europe.

In the US most people do not perform the brake fluid exchange because that is "severe" driving suggestion. Changing brake fluid yearly is unheard of unless you are driving A LOT - IMHO. Additionally, the in-cabin microfilter also can be performed by you if you are comfortable. There are write...
