I got a replacement heater for my 2012 from a scrapper in Souther California. Guessed it hadn't been used much, given the climate down there. It was still working when I sold the car last year. Cost £400 and £300 to install by my local garage (in the UK).

12V battery was replaced 8 months ago. This problem pre-dates that. It's not just error codes: it's that the CHAdeMO actually doesn't work. The charger tells me there is an initialization problem on the vehicle side.

I'm charging up at 12p per Kwh. But how do I convert that into a figure for cost per mile? It's a 2012 Leaf, and I'm not sure if it tells me what my efficiency is.

So the CHAdeMO socket attaches to two fat cables that plug into the block behind it. I can't remove it because I've not figured out how to detach the connections from the block. They have locks at the top, but clearly they have another lock somewhere less visible so you can't pull them off...
