I was searching for a mention of the CarPlay static issue and found yours. I have a '23 Leaf which came with rev 0348 and I have always had an intermittent problem with that 😞. Vary rarely will CarPlay not auto-start for me - restarting my iPhone or the car will fix the problem.

Yes, that was exactly the case - the battery temp meter went partially into the Red Zone. Looks like the Leaf is not up for long trips (moving quickly) in the summer, so I guess the other car in the household gets used for that case!

I was not able to enter the diagnostic menu ('23 SV Plus). When you say "Power," do you mean the whole car power button, or the audio power button? Does the car need to be running or off? Any other details needed?

Well I tried again yesterday to update my maps and it's working again! Great but 🤔 I suspect it may have been due to Nissan resetting my Connect Services account, to try to fix other things. In any case, glad to be back in business.
