My husband drives our Leaf to work 5 days a week about 60 miles round trip. I drive it on the weekends. Our electric bill has gone up between $15 and $20 a month since we got the car. We've calculated that it costs us right about 2 cent per mile to drive. We LOVE it! :)

I think I'll email the reporter tomorrow, tell him how many views this has gotten on the forum and ask him how many comments and hits the station has received. I also posted the link on Facebook so I know a lot of people have viewed it that way, too. I hope it's been a big success for them...

Wow, just got several messages (email and Facebook) that friends have seen the news story on our Leaf again this morning. Cool that they first ran it Monday evening and it's still running! We are definitely getting the word out on how great the Leaf is! :) Too cool.

I recently drove 63 miles one day and the guess-o-meter still showed 31 miles remaining. Granted I probably hadn't exceeded 50 mph that day but I would think I could have easily gone another 11 miles and then some. Our Leaf is almost a year old and has 8,000 miles.

We've never used it and were just wondering if the trickle charger is weather proof? We know you're supposed to be able to install most of the Level 2 charging stations outside, so they must be weather proof, but we've never heard about the trickle charger. We're planning to retire and move to...

LOL... I just showed it to my husband (retired Air Force) and he thought I was showing him the F-16, not the window sticker. LOL.

It looks like the white one on the vehicle has no backing - are they all that way with just different colored letters? I think we'd like one for our Leaf but we don't want to see the square behind the letters/image. Let me know if that's what it is and we'll order one! Thanks!

And I work for the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives - but the Leaf is our personal car, not a company car. My boss doesn't want a company car with a limited range since we have co-ops all over the state - some hundreds of miles away. I don't even think he'd go for a Volt though --...
