L2 not charging, L1 ok

The "Clunk click Clunk" sound when you begin charging is not the charger, but rather the battery contactors performing precharge and then closure to connect the on-board charger to the pack. This will still occur, so I suspect you are mistaken that this is no longer happening on your car.

ya the clunk wont go away but i think the OP was saying it was connecting/disconnecting more than once.

Hi. I am having this exact problem. I am here in the UK with a 2012 LEAF. The L2 isn't working on any rapid charger I try and the L1 is absolutely fine. I don't know anything about Diodes etc. My local nissan garage said they will have to look into this. What ? In layman's terms do I tell them needs doing?

In simple terms you tell them the car needs a new charger. Should be covered by warranty.
