I have been in touch with a West Coast executive from the ChargePoint Network of charging stations. He expressed interest in our BayLEAF group and agreed to address the group at one of our meetings and take feedback and recommendations.

He's based in San Diego, I believe, so we have to be sure about date & place once we ask him to come visit. Plus, I'm thinking it would be best to have a "room" of some sort available (rather than an outdoor setting).

So, what say you - should we invite him as a speaker?

[Maybe someone could formulate a poll (don't know how to do that).]

Cheers.

950 fun miles in the Starship (Silver LEAF SL with DC port)

Palo Alto is more convenient for me but I will be happy to go to the East Bay so those folks can save some electrons or petrol for the next meeting. So for your informal survey, either date/location works for me.

Thanks for coordinating the meeting.

We'll be expecting you to bring your LEAF since you are taking delivery imminently ;)
Actually the East Bay location I have in mind shouldn't be more than 30 miles one way for anyone except the owners who are very far South Bay (like Gilroy), but I'd be happy offer a car pool and charge to them since I'm on the way.

I'm flexible on location. It's probably time to have one in Fremont or other East Bay locale after two on the peninsula. Any mentioned date is OK with me. I would be interested in hearing the ChargePoint speaker.

May 21 in P.A. after the eaasv meeting (If I'm going to P.A. I'd like to check out the eaasv meeting).

May 14 is also the eaa san jose meeting, although I'd likely pick Bay Area LEAFs over the eaa meeting.

If a Chargepoint executive is willing to come talk to us maybe we could do it at Coulomb's offices in Campbell. If nothing else, they have quite a few chargepoint stations over there.

I think any of the proposed dates work for me. I'd be more likely to make it to Palo Alto or East Bay. Coulomb Technologies, on the other hand, is practically walking distance

Having a Leaf meeting separate from the PA EAASV meeting would cause some people to have to pick between the two. Combing them would make more sense.

May 14 and 21 are both currently open for me. The 7th is definitely not, and the 28th is iffy. I definitely prefer Palo Alto but could probably make it to the East Bay, especially if I could do a little charging (this assumes my week of May 6 is real, and I'll be in a Leaf).

My Leaf is scheduled to be delivered the "week of May 6", so it would be great to bring it to the gathering. May 14 is best for me, may 21st I have a meeting all morning that would prevent me coming that day (at least in the morning)

May 21 is actually the one day this month that I would NOT be able to make it.
however, it might be a moot point in my case, since palo alto/east bay are a bit out of my roundtrip range from Gilroy anyway (at least until there are QC stations installed along the route)... of course, that's (optimistically?) assuming I even have my Leaf by then, lol!

We can carpool if you are open to that, or you can stop by my house along the way (there or back) for a charge. We can always find a way around problems like this :)

Or drop off the car in Mountain View or Palo Alto ChargePoint EVSE L2 for a 1-2 hour boost for 15-30 extra mile range while you attend the meet.
