Finally getting on here to post my Leaf purchase from March of 2022. It had 79k miles (now 82k) and has been great. It all started when my employer sent out a $4,000 incentive and a free Level 2 charger towards the purchase of an EV or plug in hybrid. I had just so happened to find one at a small car lot that primarily spot finances people with bad credit. The leaf was listed for $6,500, so I called and asked them to make sure it was charged up and I would see it after work. They weren't able to charge it (turns out that when it was repo'd they didn't;t get the charger, so one of their employees bought one off eBay that was for a chevy volt and didn't even work). I still went to look at it after hours, since they left it unlocked and I went through the glovebox and found the 9 month old sales receipts from the same car lot with a 28% interest rate, some tickets from the old owner for no insurance or license, and other crap that clued me in that it was a repo. I came back the next day and they were still unable to charge it, so I used what little charge was on it to go to the Nissan dealer nearby and use their CHAdeMO and got a price on a level 1 charger (none in stock). I go back to the car lot and they accepted my offer of $5,500 cash without the charger.

After my company reimbursed me o the next paycheck, I am $1,500 out of pocket and got a free level 2 charger that I installed in my garage right next to my panel, where I added a 50A breaker. It charges at pax 7 kWh at home, but I rarely use it because my employer has free charging stations at every work area for us to use. It has been a great car so far!

You mean 7 kW or rather 6.6 kW? Charging rate is measured in kW, not kWh. Leafs max out at 6.6 kW over J1772 due to their on-board charger being the bottleneck.

Hopefully the rest of the car's fine and the battery's not too degraded.

Congratulations. That's a heck of a deal. While 2015 was a short-range car it did have one of the better versions of LEAF battery in terms of durability.

Thanks, I am still learning the ins and outs. Also, the original response about my kW is right I checked the app and it shows just above the 6kW mark during charging

That's a heck of a deal! I've never seen/heard any such offer before.
Welcome to the world of EVs.
