This topic is for keeping track of these and any which are added, and to announce when they've opened, as with the "Colorado Electric Vehicle Fast-Charging Corridors" topic.
DCFC sites in Montana are critical to providing access to Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. These sites provide coverage to sections of U.S. 2, 89 and 93 as well as parts of I-15 and 90, and are currently shown on Plugshare. The site on U.S. 89 in Gardiner is apparently working per Plug-share check-in on Dec. 21st. but not officially open yet, as the area remains unpaved. At least 13 of these sites are shown on Plugshare as Chargepoint, using CE250s (62.5 kW, 200-1,000VDC output, 156A max.) - the only site with an unknown network/charger is at Seeley Lake on S.R. 83.
While these are certainly better than nothing, providing only a single FC per site fails the redundancy test - a single L2 is hardly adequate compensation. And some of the locations seem questionable this early on. Hamilton on U.S. 93 or Seeley Lake on S.R. 83, but nothing in West Yellowstone, West Glacier or St. Mary/Browning?
