Whoopi Goldberg returns as Guinan to host Star Trek: The Next Generation reunion on The View
EW has an exclusive preview of the cast reunion and The View set's stellar makeover.
https://ew.com/tv/whoopi-goldberg-star-trek-next-generation-cast-reunion-the-view/ is supposed to air tomorrow.

I received an email with the same code as https://slickdeals.net/f/16453309-free-month-of-paramount-to-watch-star-trek-picard-season-3 for a free month if I resubscribe.

This was part of the fine print:
"*Offer for 1 month free valid when you subscribe or re-subscribe to the monthly Paramount+ Essential plan or monthly Paramount+ Premium plan. Offer expires on 04/30/23 11:59 PM PT. We reserve the right to end the offer at any time. New & returning subscribers only. Not transferable. Cannot be combined with any other offers."

LOL at "Not transferable" as it's not like my code of PICARD was personalized...

https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/star-trek-picard-finale-imax-screening-paramount-cbs-1235578879/

"On Wednesday, April 19, ten participating Imax theaters in the U.S. will provide an early screening of the last two episodes of the third and final season, including the series finale, ahead of its Paramount+ debut on Thursday, April 20.

Tickets to the screenings are free and fans can sign up and register at http://startrekpicardfinalescreenings.com on Wednesday, April 12, at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. The exclusive screening event will take place at 10 participating Imax theaters in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Orlando, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Dallas."

The message you get now is a bit confusing/misleading (I tried a couple different zip codes near/in those cities). You may need to wait until 10 am PT to try.

We're near the end. Just when I thought in S3:E9 fan service was ending, it didn't. OMG!

There's been so much fan service all throughout S3. Just like in some previous S3 eps, don't know how they're going to get out of this situation. I have some guesses.

"Fan service"?

I know my memory isn't what it once was, but didn't the Borg become our Pals after Allison Pill took them over last season??

And are we really supposed to believe that said Borg just assimilated Star Fleet through some sleight of hand with the transporters? I'm finding it hard to enjoy this season, mainly because the writers seem to want to give everybody everything, including having their old ride pimped. Speaking of killing Data because it's what's expected, does anyone want to bet against me that they won't blow up the Enterprise D (sort of) yet again...?

Yeah, Dr. Crusher's line was also off. Perhaps because she was "disconnected" she didn't know what happened in season 2?

I also wasn't clear. Are there different factions of the Borg and maybe Jurati's is a different one? Maybe they will save the Federation?

We're talking about ep 9 over at TCF. Without automatically spoiling it, see https://www.tivocommunity.com/threads/star-trek-picard-vox-s03e09-04-13-2023.591270/page-5#post-12701246 for a pointer to the surprise Ready Room ep.

I'm generally enjoying this season. Some people really liked Captain Shaw and there were also sorts of memes about him being Captain/Dr. No. Many liked the delivery and accompany sound effects when he recounted his experience of barely surviving Wolf 359. The scene between Picard and Crusher in sickbay was well done: https://tvline.com/2023/03/02/star-trek-picard-recap-season-3-episode-3-jean-luc-beverly-scene-son/. When Worf first showed up, I saw folks on the net exclaiming he was slicing those bad guys up like sushi.

Lots of people like Amanda Plummer's performance. She's the daughter of Christopher Plummer (aka General Chang).

In terms of fan service, look at all the folks who've popped up, for example. There were some interesting items in https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Daystrom_Station. Some of the screens of the fleet included USS Hikaru Sulu, Gilgamesh, Okuda (for Michael Okuda). I thought I recall hearing of a reference to Sternbach (https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Rick_Sternbach) in an earlier ep.

Here we go: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=771838934301972&set=pcb.771838974301968 shows the Drexler (for https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Doug_Drexler).

If you wish, we are discussing it at https://www.tivocommunity.com/threads/star-trek-picard-s03e10-the-last-generation-spoilers.591317/. I'm sure social media has many threads about it. There was one last night on an FB group, only for those who'd seen ep 10.

I heard about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATkNGefjU10. Am starting to watch it. I wonder if it'll get taken down. If it disappears, it was "Star Trek Picard Series Finale IMAX Q&A, 4/19/2023".

Someone at my work went to the SF IMAX showing and she said that popcorn and drinks were included.

Someone in a Trek FB group posted a vertical video (probably taken by them) showing the cast entering the theater passing thru metal detectors.

The above actually did get taken down with CBS/Viacom asserting ownership but apparently is back up. (shrug)

There are some spoilery videos posted over at https://www.tivocommunity.com/threads/star-trek-picard-s03e10-the-last-generation-spoilers.591317/page-5#post-12705676. Be sure to look thru a bunch of posts past that.

I did watch the short video at the top of https://deadline.com/2023/05/star-trek-picard-composers-stephen-barton-fredrick-wiedmann-interview-sound-and-screen-1235362822/. Probably best to avoid until you've finished season 3. I guess if you watched season 3 and skipped 1 and 2, it'd be ok too since they weren't S1 nor S2 composers.

I came across https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-acEAWywKyg but haven't had time to watch it yet.

I remember hearing about this for folks in NY. Stumbled across https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ejotg9MZpI last night. I'm only about 2/3 done. I think it happened before any of S3 aired.
