2018 SV here. Does Nissan itself issue any guidance on if customers should charge the battery to full capacity or charge it to a lower amount (i.e. 80%)? In talking with a Tesla owner, he said that the owner's manual recommended just charging to 80% on a regular basis. For the Leaf, I've seen recommendations from other people to just charge to 80%, but are there any sources saying to do so from Nissan itself?

Until 2013, Nisan offered a "long Life" mode that charged the car to 80%. The EPA rewarded them for this by lowering the Leaf's official rated range. Nissan dropped the feature in 2014, and while they may have let slip a terse word or two since then, they have been pretty quiet about it.

Someone who bought their '18 new or leased then bought it out will need to chime in on whether a paper like the below was included.

See bottom part of https://www.facebook.com/groups/NissanLeafOwners/posts/5546523188778958/ for someone w/their US '22 Leaf. We got confirmation at https://www.facebook.com/groups/NissanLeafOwners/posts/5850038691760738/?comment_id=5850774598353814&reply_comment_id=5853912444706696 that '23 US Leafs also came with a paper with such verbiage.
