Anyone done a deep dive into California's SB-233 that requires all EVs sold in CA to be bidirectional charging capable by 2027?
A few major issues:
OEM participation/support
Battery degradation
Solar/grid capable converters and compliance issues
CCS (DC ports) and CHAdeMO compatibilities for direct DC bidirectionality
J-1772 compatibilities for AC bidirectionality
Costs
Others?

TIL.

By 2027? LOL! I think they're need to allow for a few more years as having all EVs sold in CA having it by that time is aggressive. Some already can and some in progress will be able to, but all?

CHAdeMO? Well, if Nissan still sticks with that for Leaf, that's a no-brainer no-op for them since it's already done. But, CHAdeMO is dying in the US, at best.
