adding Fog lights for my 2015 leaf S trim

I wanted to add fog lights to my 2015 leaf S trim package. From searching the forum i found that the car did not have the wiring so i bought a kit that included wiring and brackets. also spent a bunch of time looking for a way though the firewall so hopeful this post will give other the info they need to try and do the same.

this is the light set i bought. u could just by the brackets and it looks like lots of different aftermarket lights will work. i went with this kit as it came with most of what i needed

i went to Nissan and bought these

the diagram shows i needed clips as well. my local Nissan did not have them in stock

i had some left over from a different project so i used them but this is what they look like

it came with this wiring harness and it took me a bunch of time to find a way though the firewall

next i used a long screw drive to just push out the cover

i removed the plastics pins the 4 10mm bolts and the 3 screws to remove the wheel shroud. make the job very easy and exposed the best place to pass the wires though the fire wall.

right above the cable remove the plastic plug

after the plug was removed i used a 2 foot rod to push though the carpet and push a string though. i then used the string to pull the cable though to the switch. its tight and u cant get your hand up under the steering wheel so the long rod and string was the only way i could make this work.

with the plastic wheel well removed you have easy access to the bumper.

i pressed on the clip i got from Nissan you need this to install the bracket.

used the Dremel to cut out the cover

power and ground went to the battery but the switch needs a feed for key on power so i taped into this fuse panel with this add on tap

there are 3 or 4 10mm bolts in the center shroud i removed to drop the shroud to run the wire to the other side. repeat the process on t he other side.
i did replace the bulbs that came with the kit with LEDs.
