I took out 4 screws to have better access to the bulbs, the three black screws Ed mentioned and one white screw (see pic below). There is plenty of space for an LED bulb with a fan. Just make sure the front end of the LED bulb is the same length as the front end of the OEM bulb.

Has anyone changed the vanity mirror and glove compartment bulbs? Nissan Leaf manual only says their wattages (1.8W and 1.4W) and not the bulb type.
I just replaced the dome light and the glove compartment. The glove compartment takes the tiny 74 Wedge bulbs and - I got the 4000K wedge from superbrightleds.com and it looks good. Matches nicely with the LED map lights. I did get their DE3175 4000k 4 SMD bulb as well for the dome light and that also matches nicely with the LED map lights.

I’m still looking for the vanity mirror lights. I bought another pair of 74 wedge bulbs but the bulbs in the car are a fuse type almost an inch long.

Halogen bulbs produce a significant amount of heat, making them more vulnerable to water damage and creating a risk of melting plastic components. LED bulbs, on the other hand, are much cooler so they're able to withstand moisture better and remain working even in extreme weather conditions.

LED bulbs also last much longer than halogen bulbs - up to 50,000 hours compared to just 2,000 hours for halogen bulbs. Additionally, LED bulbs are more energy efficient, as they consume less power than halogen bulbs.

When shopping for bulbs to use in fog lamps, it's important to consider the benefits of both halogen and LED bulbs so that you can make an informed decision that best fits your needs. Ultimately, you'll want to choose bulbs that are reliable, cost-effective, and energy efficient. With both halogen and LED bulbs available for these applications, you have the freedom to make whatever choice is best for you.

I was very happy when I first used them due to the brightness, but I was not to impressed with the fogs. Mine are incandescent and look awful. Has anyone replaced with LED's? any issues or color/temp matching problems. I'd like to change the interior to.
I haven't replaced my headlights with LEDs, but I did change out the fog lights. I had no issues with color matching or anything like that. The LEDs are noticeably brighter and look great! As for the interior, I also swapped out the bulbs for LEDs. (I found the bulbs I need and their size at https://headlightupgrade.net/nissan-rogue-bulb-size/) Again, no issues and the results are great! So overall, I say go for it! LEDs are definitely worth the upgrade.

Using these LED H11 lights: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07G5V ... =UTF8&th=1

The LED bulbs are 8.5 watt, 6500K color temp, to replace the 35 watt halogen fogs. The colour temp mismatch between the fogs and LED headlights on the 2018 SL always bothered me.

These lights are definitely brighter, but not to the extent that other drivers are flashing brights at me. The reflector in the fog light creates a very diffuse pattern, so don't expect miracles with these. These particular bulbs have a 360 COB array, but also have a COB facing forward under a small projector lens so will provide better forward low level illumination in poor conditions. They are almost exactly the same dimensions as the OEM bulb.

The 2018 LEAF SL headlights are LED from the factory.
