Hi all. I have a 2023 Leaf S (40kwh). I was looking into how the "safety shield 360" works, as it comes as a standard option.

Digging into the factory service manual and parts diagrams, I believe that all the hardware exists, minus a few steering wheel control buttons (and possibly electronic parking brake hardware) to operate both ICC (intelligent cruise control) and ProPilot.

Has anyone looked into this? My theory is with the right ECM and ADAS calibration, it should be workable. The options for calibration would be the SV trim with the technology package.

Does anyone have a late model SV trim with the 40kwh battery that could post their leafspy ecu info?

Does your Leaf S have the forward mounted camera right behind the rear-view mirror? That's a vital part of ProPilot for it to work, the ICC needs the front facing radar sensors, you'll have to look under your bumper to find those. I suppose in theory if all the parts are in place, you might be able to jimmy a working system together, but it might require taking some transplant hardware from crashed SV or SL models.

Yes, it does have both the lane camera and front radar, as both of those items are used in what Nissan markets in the USA as "safety shield 360". It uses both for "Intelligent Emergency Braking" (https://www.nissan-global.com/EN/INNOVATION/TECHNOLOGY/ARCHIVE/EMERGENCY_BRAKE) and "Intelligent Lane Intervention" (https://www.nissan-global.com/EN/INNOVATION/TECHNOLOGY/ARCHIVE/ILI/).

I did some digging in the parts catalogs, and am trying to understand what hardware is used for each part number. Do you happen to have a second generation Leaf with either ICC or ProPilot? Would you be able to take a picture of both the phisical part number on the VCM and ADAS control modules? If they are left hand drive, they are both located behind the glove box, which is held on my 6 screws.

I have two (2018 and 2020) that have both systems. One of them is in the repair shop and the other is my wife's so, it might be a while before I can get to any pictures.
