Is there an equivalent easy plug heater disable switch for the 2011 and 2012 leaf? Is there a way to retrofit a heat pump to older models?
No, but this post (https://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=11412) will give you other options.
I can't even imagine "retrofitting" a heat pump into this car...if it is even possible.
Good luck!

Hello All
Looking for a 'plug & play' solution to turn off the heater using a switch on the 1st generation model. Seeking a simple and convenient method to control the heater without any complex installations or modifications. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Free Fire

* Heater Off Switch for pre-2013 Leafs. There is a fairly easy to install switch, available through this forum, that will allow you to turn off the liquid-based heater in the 2011 and 2012 Leaf. Amazingly, these cars don't already have such a switch: if you want to stop the heater from drawing power, you have to turn off the climate control system entirely, losing all power ventilation.
