Hello,

I had to swap out my passenger seat with a used unit after the failure of the occupancy sensor. The replacement has the factory seat heater, which would really make my wife really happy if I could wire it up as she runs colder than I. Since my model year 2011 doesn't have the connection built in to the harness, I'd like to get the wiring diagram for what the connections at the seat are. I've gone through a bunch of the PDFs found here including PG (power supply, ground, circuits), SE (seats), HAC (heater and AC control), HA (heater and AC) but I've had no luck.

I'm hoping that maybe I can hack the switch that's built in to the seat to re-purpose it from turning on the rear seat heaters to instead actually controlling the seat heater in the passenger seat. I'd still need to supply fused power and maybe have to add a relay to the mix, but it seems like it could work if I could find a diagram.

Thanks in advance for any leads on the diagram I need!

There's another thread with the wiring diagram of the OEM switch and everything, but I can't find it right now.

Thanks, I saw that one, which is here:

But the missing piece I need is the pinout of the connector going to the factory passenger seat since that is the only OEM heated seat piece I have. I think I can make it work for that seat if I can find that one diagram.

You won't find it in the 2011 manuals because seat heating was not an option for that model year. Seat heaters were introduced in 2012. The Seat section (SE) should have what you're looking for in that year and later.

Thank you!! I read through a few different heated seat threads and I could have sworn that I saw it mentioned that the option was available later in 2011. Maybe that was referencing MY 2012 vehicles delivered in 2011? In any case, I have the diagram in hand now. It looks like I just need to jumper pin 5 to pin 2, and pin 6 to pin1 to redirect the switch to now control the heater inside the seat rather than the rear seats. Aside from that I just need to apply power to 4, and ground pin 3. I should also rig up an indicator light in the dash so that I don't forget it's on. My attempts to include the image in the post don't seem to be working but hopefully you can see it by following this link:

It's connector B264 and there is a box drawn around the components inside the seat.

If you're interested, I have two brand new Nissan front seat heater switches that snap into the empty spots in the console. I think I paid $15-20 each for them and never did a seat heater project....

Thanks. I'll send a message if I decide to go that route, but for now I think I'll just hack the rear heater switch. I don't want to expand the scope of the project any more than I have to. I have too many unfinished projects as it is :)

The cold weather package was introduced late in the 2011 production run. There were two different service manuals available (one for early 2011's and the other for late 2011's that have the cold weather package). Is the seat you purchased from a late 2011 or from a 2012? I think they would be the same, but am not sure.

Apologies for the thread resurrection. I have a 2012 leaf that has been upgraded to leather heated seats by one of the former owners. These were never wired in, and with the start of the cold weather it's something I'd like to do.

Most of the links to wiring diagrams on this thread are now broken. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the two unused plugs I have under each seat? I can guess that the 3 chunky wires on the middle plug are probably for the two heating elements per seat, plus a ground, but I'd like to be sure.

The closest working diagram above I can find is https://photos.app.goo.gl/WjNcCAXGB4aiMhwA9 but this doesn't include any wiring colours.

Many thanks
