Hi, We have just purchased a 2013 Nissan Leaf and it has the genuine Nissan Traffic fitted and the instruction book is all in Japanese. Does anyone know how to work one or has translated the instructions? please advise Thanks Kevin (The part number of the camera kit is Nissan G20A0-C9954). Have asked before but no replies, so hoping someone out there can help me. :D

You won't find that much help here as this board is US-centric w/some Canadians and a few from outside those two countries.

We can't just import JDM Leafs into the US. You could try the Google Translate app on your smartphone and tablet. It has a OCR feature w/your camera that you can use to help you with any UI. It works for Japanese but will only result in Engrish, at best. From what I understand, Japanese grammar is very different from English, so it's not surprising.

edit: Oh... I just saw your replies. I guess you're already familiar with the above. Nevermind.

we also face this issue in our towing trucks which we use for towing service Manhattan towing service looking for solutions.

Best I can do for now... Here is a .pdf of a related nissan drive recorder https://www.nissan.co.jp/OPTIONAL-PARTS/NAVI_AUDIO/NAVI/PDF/driverecorder_G20A0-C9980.pdf

You can use Translate.google.com to translate .pdf documents. Unfortunately the limit is 1MB, so you'll need to split the 3.9MB document into several pieces. I tried the first 10 pages and the process does seem to result in reasonably readable output that might give you what you need.

Thanks to the OP and the person who posted the link to the Japanese Manual.

I imported a 2016 Aero into Australia, and have this camera.
