I am amazed at the difference in range between a Gen1 and Gen2 Leaf with the same 40 kWh battery pack. Admitting the "guess-o-meter" ranges are unreliable, there is plenty of evidence to suggest I get more range with the same pack in a Gen1 than you do in a Gen2. For example, my GOM range easily matches your 143 miles at only 80% charge! Again, these aren't "real world" tests, but you can't tell me I'm not getting more range (the GOM isn't that far off).
