Hello, I have an opportunity to purchase a 2012 Leaf with 77,000 miles for 2100 dollars. They say the charging unit when out. The battery was at a 8 and had a range of 55 miles when charged. Is this a good buy and what should I look out for? Thanks Gregg
Welcome. Unless you have experience working on Gen 1 Leaf charging systems, then the answer is NO. Also, the range with 8 bars is more likely about 40-45 miles, driven gently. I'm going to link my used Leaf buying guide here shortly.

PLEASE don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.
The price is very cheap but unless you live in an area experienced in Leaf repair, CA, WA or maybe some areas in CAnada, including Montreal or Vancouver, I'd probably steer clear. Not a lot of people are experienced in Leaf repair and if you just go into a local Nissan dealer you could end up spending lots of time and money that would far outweigh your cheap initial price.
