Walser Nissan Wayzata is is selling very low mileage "used" 2019 LEAF SL Plus models.

$31-33K (original MSRP $43-44k)

Mileage between 38 and 6800 miles.

PLUS they were corperate "fleet" vehicles or something so THEY STILL QUALIFY for the $7500 tax credit!

So you can get a 12-18 month old vehicle for net $23,500-25,500.

Putting my money where my mouth is, I drove 225+ miles each way to buy one today.

Caveat: They are all white.

The 2016 SL is for sale. I guess I should ante up some money [DONE] so I can list a classified here.

I just bought one yesterday. I had been holding out for the past 2-3 years from pulling the trigger on any EV's, while test driving everything around (Bolts, Model 3, Model S, Volts, Niro PHEV's, Prius Prime, 2016-2017 LEAF's, etc) since none of them ever felt totally "right". After test driving a Plus, it was clear that this was a different proposition and a higher quality vehicle than many. This one really was crazy value - 2019 SL Plus, $28.3k list, $30.5k OTD. So $23k after tax credit. 800 miles on the odometer. Of course, in white. I still felt nervous as I was closing the deal as it is still the most expensive car I have ever purchased by a good margin, but the value seemed too good to ignore.

It seems posters here think a "low mileage" 2019 SL Plus for $31K-$33K is a good deal ($23.5K-$25.5K after $7.5K federal tax credit).

Do you think a NEW 2019 S w/ Charge Package for $23.5K ($16K after $7.5K federal tax credit) is a good deal?
Is the top tier Leaf (longer range, better options/packages) worth $7.5K more?

I currently drive a Prius (not plug-in) and I'm interested in moving to an electric (or at least a plug-in hybrid).
I'm trying to be financially responsible and considering future depreciation.
So I'm thinking it's either this new 2019 (w/ 150 mile range) or a used 2016/17 (w/ 80 mile range) for under $10K?

Thoughts? TIA

I missed this when p[osted. Short answer: it depends on your climate. If it's mild, with not much in the way of Winter weather, then probably. If you have to run the heater a lot, though, a Leaf with heat pump (SV with All Weather option if used, and SL) is a better proposition. The main exception would be if your range needs are modest in Winter.
