https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/04/toyota-dethrones-gm-to-become-americas-top-selling-automaker-in-2021.html
Toyota outsold GM in 2021, marking the first time since 1931 that the Detroit automaker wasn’t the best-selling car company in the U.S.
The historic change occurred as Toyota was able to manage supply chain issues better than GM, including an ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips.

I think you are trying to say plug-in hybrid cars.
The remainder of the 'electrified' cars are hybrid.

Toyota gets the pretender crown for 2021, but in 2022 50k pretender cars a month is chicken feed.

'Out of control': Buyers paying thousands over sticker price for new cars
Expect high prices for the foreseeable future.
https://abcnews.go.com/Business/control-buyers-paying-thousands-sticker-price-cars/story?id=82489039
Tyson Jominy, vice president of data and analytics at J.D. Power, said 87% of consumers are currently paying above MSRP, which is already at a record high. The average new vehicle price is now $45,283 versus $35,000 in December of 2019, according to J.D. Power. The global chip shortage and supply crunch have led to surging prices, Jominy said.
