I gritted my teeth through "It's LITERALLY like a giant bank vault" but bailed when he said "It's LITERALLY like driving a giant piece of solid metal around the track." I'm afraid that Millenials LITERALLY make me nauseous. That and why exactly did he turn off the stability control?

SOP for pushing closer to the limits, esp. on a track. See https://practicalmotoring.com.au/voices/the-case-for-turning-stability-control-off/

People turn off traction control for similar reasons, when doing a fast launch or to allow you to control under/oversteer on corners, i.e.get the tail out: https://flowracers.com/blog/turn-of...u turn your traction, power output of the car.

When testing performance cars, auto enthusiast magazines routinely turn off one or both to allow them to enjoy full control and push the car closer to its limits. The average driver, for whom terms like "trailing throttle oversteer" might as well be Greek, and who never pushes a car near its limits, will have no need to turn either off, bar a few situations in snow, sand or mud.

Has "literally" replaced "you know" among repetitive speaking tics? Or is is just on par with "basically" and "actually"?

As best I can tell, Millenials speak in an endless loop of repetitive speaking tics. Wait, I'll translate:

So, uh, it seems to me, that? Millenials, like, sort of, speak in a LITERALLY endless loop of sort of, you know, ticks. That's MY takeaway, at least. I guess...

Then we must flea!

I've been seeing ads on TV again (specifically on https://www.kron4.com/) during ad breaks of local news for the e-Tron. They listed some lease prices at the end and I recall they were pitching the sportback version.

I learned of these 8 hour loans of e-Trons at https://www.audiusa.com/us/web/en/innovation/e-tron/e-tron-test-drive-tour.html from a Slickdeals thread. Seems like in some metro areas, it's already over. It's not over the SF Bay Area but it's all "sold out" already. I put myself on the waitlist. Too bad I didn't know about this when I was taking time off from work. :( I'd have had a lot more flexibility in terms of when.

Was weird that they had a selection for "service" in the signup page for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner but the say the car is being dropped of. I chose brunch. (shrug)

I saw your post and put my name on the waitlist too. I already have a deposit on the Volvo XC40 Recharge, but I haven't had a test drive of one and may not complete the sale. The eTron is the closest competitor to what I want, I think, which is a small BESUV. It's 20" longer than the Volvo and would be a tight fit in my garage. I don't really need the extra range, but of course it's always nice to have.
