OP: If you can get the Leaf spy app, even the lite version, with a blueteeth OBDII scantool dongle and an android phone, then you could read the actual cell voltages at full and after driving it down toward empty, this could help you avoid a big expense of buying a car with defective cell in the pack which would drastically limit your range. Until you know the cell health then you can't know anything about the pack capacity or remaining life.
