17x7.5 aluminum rim saves 2.5 lbs at each wheel with a little more meat from the 225/45/r17s without messing with my speedo

Your in dallas? I just had them mount an balance for me :D I am seeing a gain of 10 miles in range on the speedo after the new wheels installed. Ligit.

Sorry on the delay - Plano :D I have a '15 S with the stock steel rims and hubcaps and I've been looking at getting wheels. I was thinking about just getting an OEM SV or SL set, but who knows? Given how fugly the gen 1 cars are, it's hard to find anything that I think would look good.

I dont know the brand name...they are ebay wheels seller is effectwheelz model insanity I think...

@tattoogunman I think a set of jdm work equips or something like that would look nice, try to pull off the VIP mini-minivan look

Or a nice front lip and some rally mud flaps and a set of oz rallies could pull a different look to that body

OP - the new wheels look great! I see you're 2.5lbs lighter, but you're also a little bit wider. I'd like to get some lightweight aftermarket wheels and I've been searching around a few forums to try to find 2018+ Leafs with aftermarket wheels to get more info on how the affect the range/ride/etc.

A few questions for you:

Have you noticed ...

1) any changes in your range or kwh/mile since changing to new wheels and tires?

2) quicker acceleration due to the reduced weight and wider tire?

3) better or worse handling?

Thanks in advance!
