I'm going to be making a 14-50 Receptacle to a L6-30P so then I can lend him my adapters from evseupgrade.com and he'll also be able to use his #JESLA with many other receptacles.

I also lent him my http://www.Quick220.com to take with him on the road.
Well, hopefully with all that we won't be reading about any more trickle charging on his trip. Seems like he might benefit from a working Leaf Spy Pro setup as well. He does seem to be getting lots of help from people which is great

Brian Kent, the Guy driving this LEAF had to go back home for a Funeral this past weekend and today he is heading back towards my house and we are going to a Car Show tonight! Two LEAFs side by side!

I see that EVolve KY sticker! That's my local group. I was in contact with Brian when he passed through KY about a possible tree in my yard but he'd already passed my city by the time I got in touch that day.

I was also a bit concerned about how was (not) outfitted- I'd think a complete selection of adapters to be able to charge from any source would be the first item on the packing list after the EVSE! I see he stopped off at Steve of Autobeyours.com fame in Indiana, I got my Prius from him.

He did get there? I too talked to them a couple of times when I owned my Prius. I did not see that stop when looking at:
http://www.evchargehub.com/NegativeCarbonRoadTrip.html
but he did come through Indiana rather quickly and in the middle of the night...

I saw a couple pictures of the Prius limo on his blog, so I assume that he stopped off there.
You mean at http://negativecarbonroadtrip.evchargehub.com/2015/09/the-adventure-continues.html?

Someone at http://priuschat.com/threads/someone-called-this-a-pruck.82116/ called those Prucks. :)

I was there only once so I can't say if that is the side of the building in that photo or not. They do have a charge station there, just surprised if he was there he did not register charging there... But no matter. And I agree with Tony Schaefer on that "car/truck/limo"- its prugly.

Ah yes, it was a Pruck. I didn't look again at the photo before posting. I can confirm that that is his building, as well as the "Priustoric" boat/Prius in the second photo above the Pruck.

Relevant is also the fact that Steve made a Leaf limo too. Not sure what the current status of it is.

I wonder if he is only checking in on stations listed on that website, Steve's might not be. I can tell you that his trip through KY is definitely missing some check-ins based on mileage alone, never mind the stop in Frankfort that he was messaging me during.

I've only been keeping up with Brian Kent with his Facebook posts.

Thanks checked it out. As long as I don't have to log into Facebook. I'm one of those "haters"

Since his blog (at http://negativecarbonroadtrip.evchargehub.com/) isn't updated that frequently, I also checked his Facebook and Twitter hashtag links at the top. Usually, I didn't find many updates there either.

Somewhere (in one of his posts?), he alluded to his Twitter handle. Aha! https://twitter.com/Negativecarbon is updated more often. Unfortunately, he doesn't use his #NegCarbRoadtrip tag in most of his tweets.

I've been really disappointed in his blog. Updates are not frequent enough and when they do get posted, not much info. Maybe he's taking notes and will post later but as of now I give the blog a C- rating and I feel that's being nice.

I refuse to read Twitter or Facebook.

What's wrong with reading https://twitter.com/Negativecarbon? I'm not a big Twitter user either. I mainly use it to enter drawings/sweepstakes. I use Facebook daily but he hasn't posted much there, at least via what he linked to.

Well, I'm mostly with LeafMuranoDriver, I don't know his reasons but mine are that I don't like to turn over control of what I see and do on the internet to the filters and views of those companies. I prefer to support smaller, private websites that don't try to control all of the internet. Frankly, if I were EVChargehub and Lasareath I would want more of the web exposure of the trip to come to my own site rather than FB/Twitter, especially if I had invested as heavily. It also makes it harder, and frankly less interesting, to try to keep up by having to look multiple places and still never getting a coherent story anywhere. Like when's the last time he planted a tree (which I thought was a central focus of the trip)? So sadly, I've kind of lost interest.

Just my thoughts...

*edit*
I realized after actually reading the thread that Brian is the one that stopped in here at my work... Ken Garff Nissan of SLC. I never had a chance to talk to him unfortunately but what a cool journey to take.

I echo most of jpadc's comments. I thought the blog was the focal point of documenting the trip. I only want to check his site or this site, not the "big ones".

Not sure when he planted the last trees. lol Wasn't that the point of the trip?

If I knew he was planting trees at the time he stopped in our dealership I would've suggested one at my house :D. But from what I am gathering he is trying to plant one in just about every state he visits since it shows he's at 24/48 on the blog.

#MotorWeek has a Great Video and Brian Kent's Car is pictured (with my #magnet on his hood :D )

Judging by https://twitter.com/Negativecarbon/status/670098118684352517, he was in So Cal 6 hours ago.

Too bad he didn't take feedback about more frequent and better status updates. I'd asked that he at least tweet his current odometer mileage, current city and next planned city right after he initiates a charging session, at least on long sessions where he has to L2.
