I thought we used to have threads where we discussed Leaf sales each month.

Anyhow, we can discuss 2019 US EV/PHEV sales here.

But September did not follow the upward trend
We had high hope that the upward sales trend for the LEAF would continue into September, but that was not the case. Nissan reports that it sold 1,048 LEAFs in the U.S. in September. This decline is despite the fact that the LEAF Plus is really here and available now. To us, it's now clear the LEAF is just not a favorite among U.S. buyers.

In terms of 2019 YTD figures, the LEAF now stands at 9,111.

Keep in mind for some automakers like Tesla and GM, the monthly numbers are estimated since GM moved to reporting quarterly numbers and Tesla has never provided monthly numbers. IIRC, Tesla doesn't even provide a breakdown of US vs. rest of world sales.

The GM deliveries chart at https://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/news.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2019/oct/1002-gmsales.html confirms 13,111 Bolts YTD vs. 11,807 for the same period a year ago. Volt sales have cratered but then again, production ended awhile ago. When I checked Volt inventory, most were LT trims and the prices didn't (on the surface) look that hot.

Tesla is really decimating everyone else in the US in terms of EV/PHEV sales.

Tesla is 82.7% of the BEV market, and a much larger fraction of the BEVs used for extended driving. The consent decree that allows EA to exclude Tesla is idiotic given the purported goal to expand EV marketshare.
