Anyone successful at getting a 2018 NL SV US import to work in Canada???

I just purchased a 2018 Nissan Leaf and cannot hook up to NissanConnect. The VIN isn't in the Canadian portal -even though the car was imported legally into Canada.

Has anyone been able to make a US import work on the Canadian app? Can anyone help???

This has come up before, and it seems that it's impossible - or virtually so - to get Nissan's US servers to talk to Nissan cars (or at least Leafs) in Canada. I think that the question to ask, if you want to pursue this further, is "Can a US Leaf that visits Canada use Nissan Connect while there?"
