How to make it so my car alarm won’t turn off

Hi I just recently bought a 2017 used leaf and I’m concerned about the alarm. I noticed that when it goes off it immediately stops after only a few seconds which is really short. For safety reasons I’d like it to keep going. How do I make it keep going until I get to the car to turn it off myself. Is there a setting for that?
