I just got a 2019 Leaf SV and I'd like to disable the TCU. What are my options? I just don't want the car to send information about where it is or what it's doing to anyone. Call me paranoid, if you want to :)
I've gone through many of the menus and disabled all I could find that seemed related to the transmission of data. But it's hard to tell what it still does... Can I pull a SIM card out somewhere? Or disconnect power from the TCU? Does the 2019 have a TCU or is it now called something else?
Also... is there a way to disable the connectivity nag screen?
I've searched and not found an answer, perhaps I used the wrong search terms...
Thanks much!

After dealing with 3 dealerships that couldn't do it right, here's what I did to my 2011. I don't know if the 2019 is the same.

I'm paranoid as well. You really should be: https://www.wired.com/2015/07/hackers-remotely-kill-jeep-highway/

Make sure you have LeafSpy Pro and an ODBII adapter BEFORE you go down this path.
