My 2015 Leaf no longer charges using my level 2 port. A Nissan dealer service manager told me that they got multiple error codes and observed that some of the pins were "pushed in." My CHAdeMO port works fine, so I can still charge the car. The dealer wants $2,000 to replace the level 2 port and then run another diagnostics. I think I would like to repair the port myself, but can't find any tutorials on YouTube. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Alternatively, does anyone know an independent Nissan Leaf mechanic in Los Angeles, Orange or San Bernardino counties (Southern California)? I think the pins can be pushed back in from behind the unit. Maybe no need to spend $2,000 for a replacement with no guarantee of success.
