I'm on the waiting list for the California Clean Vehicle $2500 rebate. If I understand correctly, renewing funding for the program is being held hostage as they negotiate on the Calif carbon Cap and Trade program whose proceeds were providing the funding.

Does anyone have more info on this?

Any suggestions for how all us Calif Leaf drivers can apply some political pressure to renew the rebate incentive?

Funding was approved. $300 million. Rules of the game have slightly changed.
If your earnings are above $150k/300k individual/joint filing, you do not qualify for CA rebate money.

If you are turning in a high emissions non-smog passing vehicle & replacing it with an EV, your rebate money goes up significantly beyond $2500.

Hope that helps...CARB should be flushing out the waiting list queue soon...

And I stand corrected. Funding is $133 million, not $300 million...it is expected to last another 6-8 months after clearing the current backlog.
The revised income limits go into effect on Nov 1, 2016, so they may not impact the applications that are already in the queue...
