Hello,

Android Auto is able to act as a replacement to ODB-II dongles on rooted Android phones on some vehicles https://github.com/jilleb/mqb-pm and https://github.com/Eselter/AA-Phenotype-Patcher. Unfortunately, only 'VAG' cars are supported (https://github.com/martoreto/aauto-vex-vag, which implements a so called VW 'EX-LAP' protocol to communicate to the car via Android Auto interface. Is anyone aware of something similar that would work for Nissan Leaf 2018+?

Currently, a solution using https://github.com/endyrubbin/AAStream and ODB-II dongle paired with Leaf-spy PRO works, but it is clunky to setup, while the Android Auto-based solution would start immediately in the background once you plug your phone into the car, which would make it much more 'useful' -> it can potentially collect stats, calculate more realistic driving range, and generally improve the driving experience.

Any insight on this?
