Are the Charge Point and Blink RFID's interchangeable?

No, they are two separate systems. However, I did find that a bunch of Chargepoint units here in Hillsboro have been upgraded so users can use any PayPass compatible credit card to start/end charging, even if there is no fee to use the unit!

I had to get our home Blink unit replaced this morning and while on the phone with Blink CS I asked about the map. She originally thought all the info was there, then checked with someone else who said they expect to have all of the unit locations uploaded in a week or so, and that after that, they plan to update the map once a week.

Right now, when I go to the Blink map, I get "Page Not Found".

Also, if I try to look at my charge history, it's gone, too.

Hrm...

Now that the BLINK Map is back online http://blinknetwork.com/locator.html has anyone had a positive or negative experience while attempting to charge at any of the locations?

I only mention this because one BLINK location in Scottsdale is actually on private property with security guards who do not allow access. I understand that I wouldn't want someone plugging in at my home without permission but my charger isn't listed on the BLINK Map as available.

Is there something I'm missing that shows which chargers are available for public use and which are for private (employee) use?

I have contacted BLINK with this issue and not seen a change in which are public or private....

So they do not let the public on the charger. Why would Blink have them on the list?

That's my point and the reason I'm not a BLINK or Prudential Financial, fanboy right now..........
The guards were not very friendly. Of course I remember I was not a very pleasant person when I worked for minimum wage...... ;)
I have contacted both and expressed my displeasure and requested contact. I don't expect contact or a resolution on this matter. For goodness sakes they have how many chargers up and runner with how many DOE/Taxpayer millions of dollars in there pockets? They have bigger problems on the public infrastructure than just this one instance.

What about those at ADEQ in Phoenix, AZ? Has anybody checked it out?

I googled it and it's AZ Department of Environment Quality. I found this article on their website: http://www.azdeq.gov/function/news/2011 ... 062911.pdf

It looks like those charging stations should be open to the public.
