How many of these are installed? :

...ECOtality will install 45 fast-charging stations – you know, the ones that take 30 minutes or less to fill a typical electric vehicle from empty to about 80 percent full – at BP and ARCO locations beginning next March {2011}. Exact sites for the chargers have yet to be determined, but some of them will show up in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and up and down the West Coast in cities that have been singled out under The EV Project...

...Cracker Barrel will install ECOtality’s Blink EV charging stations, including both Level 2 and DC Fast Charge commercial electric vehicle charging stations, at 24 restaurant and store locations within EV Project markets beginning April 2011. Blink charging stations will be installed at 12 identified locations that support ECOtality’s previously announced EV blueprints in Tennessee and will connect the transportation corridors linking Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. The 12 Cracker Barrel store locations in Tennessee include: Athens, Cleveland, Cookeville, Crossville, East Ridge, Farragut, Harriman, Kimball, Lebanon, Manchester, Murfreesboro, and Nashville. The remaining 12 unidentified Cracker Barrel locations will be installed within other Tennessee locations that are within the boundaries of The EV Project...

...ECOtality will begin to deploy Blink DC Fast Chargers through partners of The EV Project at commercial locations as early as March 2011...

Ummm, that would be zero. There are several threads here which already address Ecotality's stellar lack of performance.

NISSAN dealers in the UK seem to be getting L3 / CHAdeMO, whereas in the US they just have J1772.
( About 15x slower to recharge... )

I opted to not purchase the L3 QC option, thinking that it would take 2 - 3 years to get the infrastructure in place. Then I'll trade in my Leaf for a Leaf 3.0 with faster 240v charging and the QC option.

Seems that 2 - 3 years may have been optimistic.

To be most effective, the QC stations need to be located at strategic locations, not some store/resturant locations that are 3 to 10 miles from major freeway/traffic-path exits or intersections.

Why is the QC unit that is used all over Japan NOT available for use here?

Does anybody have real details?
