I am using this to temporarily wire my EVSE into a drier outlet in my house. I bought 20' when I needed 30'. I hate to waste this fairly expensive brand new wire, and I don't want to extend my extension cord.

I paid around $35 at Home Depot. $30 local pickup in the SF Bay Area takes it.

I am not an electrician so I can't tell you if this wire is going to work for your particular application.

You could have bought an (unterminated) dryer cord (with a plug to match your outlet) for much less...

You have a source for 30 foot dryer cords?

An L6-30 extension cord like what the OP is making would be nearly $100.

I may try that next time. This cord is heavy, rubberized, indoor / outdoor safe. I'll try to post pics tonight.

The pics didn't come out well and really its not very interesting looking. It says 3/C 10 AWG on it. Black, heavy duty cable with heavy rubber insulation.
