I bought this Level 2 charger from Aerovironment in May 2011, just before they raised the price. I decided not to install this charger at the small apartment complex where I live because of the high cost to upgrade the wiring. The model is EVSE-RS with a 25 foot cable. I paid exactly $842. If you buy the same charger on Amazon, you will pay about $1080 including the sales tax. After the 30% federal tax credit, your net cost would be about $756, but you would have to wait a year to receive the credit.

The charger is brand new and still in the shipping box. The box was opened to check the contents, but the charger was never removed and never installed. It has been stored inside my apartment since it arrived. The charger has a 3 year warranty from the date of installation. Since it was never installed, the warrantly has not started running yet.

The price is $700 picked up, either in Santa Clara or Fremont, California. Please send me a PM if interested. Mark.

Unfortunately, I believe the Federal tax credit for the charging station expired at the end of 2011. The tax credit for the car itself continues.

Might want to check this link...

No problem...I think some magic happened recently during the "fiscal cliff" stuff in Washington that extended it...
