The number we are looking for is 1,344. If Dec Leaf sales are above that 2012 sales would be higher than 2011. Last 2 months Leaf beat 1,500.

We should get all the numbers tomorrow (?).
1st Leaf : 2/28/2011 to 5/6/2013
2nd Leaf : 5/4/2013 to 3/21/2017
Volt : 3/25/2017 to 5/25/2018
Model 3 : 5/10/2018 to ?

Yeah, I've seen Thursday at a bunch of places like http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimhenry/20 ... -for-2012/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

I'm wanting them to announce sooner because I'm trying to roll some covered calls I have on Ford (F), but the IV of January options (and the expiration of my calls) is very high compared to later months. I'm guessing it's because of the impending sales numbers. If the IV collapses after they announce numbers, that'll likely confirm my guess.

Not sure if this was posted yet but there's this little preview re: the Volt at http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2013 ... ed-in-2012" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

General Motors Co. said Wednesday that its 2012 sales of the plug-in hybrid Chevrolet Volt tripled from 2011. U.S. sales of the Volt for 2012 will top 23,000 for the year, said Michelle Malcho, a spokeswoman for GM. The Detroit automaker will report final December sales on Thursday, GM had sold 20,828 extended-range electric Volt cars through November. In 2011, it sold 7,671 Volt cars, below its forecast of 10,000 for its first full year of sales.
So ~2,172+ Dec Volt sales. (~23,000+ minus 20,828).

From October to now, Yen has gone from 78 or 86. Or importing Leaf is 10% cheaper now for Nissan.

Toyota is finally breaking out the individual Prius family sales at http://pressroom.toyota.com/releases/de ... +chart.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Interesting that Leaf beat PiP last month.

It doesn't list Rav4 EV sales though. I guess we'll have to wait for someone else to post them.
