My only guess is that it will be a low number.

Actually, with the unusually generous lease deals being offered, it may not be that bad.

A couple of dealers, down here, who had not sold more than one or two LEAFs the entire year cleared out nearly their entire inventory once they announced the 24-month lease with the very low money factor.

I think that 24 month lease will give sales a bounce up. I hope so, I want this car to succeed even if I am leasing only.

I expect the Aug bounce in Volt sales will subside now that the GM $5K EV sales bonus is over.

984 LEAFs in Sept, largely due to the generous lease offers.

One of the Sept sold Leafs is mine.

I come to like it more than I expected.

I purchased instead of Leasing.

With as generous as the Leaf (and Volt) offers were, it is not a good sign if that is still the best they could do... But it does show that the vehicles ARE price sensitive and manufactures are going to have to continue considering that if they want to sell any real quantities in the future..

Maybe leasing new vehicles will be the new paradigm? Then when those vehicles enter the used market, people can buy them? With electric vehicles having a much higher initial price, this may be the best way to move them.
