This morning I spent an hour installing my Viofo A119S (which was in my Metro until I sold that car) into my new-to-me 2013 Leaf.
Before getting started, I thought that I might find a way to "tap in" to one of the power wires in the map light console. But once I removed the console and looked at its wiring, I quickly ruled out that possibility. Instead, I did what I do in all my other cars--I ran the power wire over to the A-pillar and down to the fusebox (being very careful in this case to route the wire behind the curtain airbag assembly).
I'm glad to finally have a camera in this car. In the two weeks I have been driving it, I've already had two cars run red lights in front of me. I'm thankful neither of those incidents resulted in a crash or injury... but I want to be prepared for when one does.
