Used my Cruise Control once to see if I can gain range, it didn't work so I haven't used it since.

Cruise works to a MPG advantage for an ICE car because it is difficult to feather the gas around all the time while watching the speedometer AND drive safety at the same time. Cruise allows one to watch the road better and since the car is doing the fine feathering of the gas pedal for you, gas is saved in the process.
I think though for an electric car, at least my experience, it seems to be much easier to maintain a constant speed without cruise control. The drive by wire seems to smooth out the slight motions of your foot so instead of the vehicle getting little bumps or dips in speed all the time, it seems to keep the power constant to the motor. Driving in traffic, with no cruise, at highway speeds, I have no problems keeping a constant speed. When everyone speeds up, I follow, when the group slows down, I just let back and usually just 1 bubble of regen is enough to slow me down so I don't run into the back of the car ahead of me. I do miss the "set and forget" option of cruise though because I can just ride the slow lane at a constant rate without having to dodge traffic and let all the speed demons blow past me in the far left "free tickets" lane.
