Nice write up. I have the following comments.

Not everyone will be as lucky as you to get a brand new battery. I suspect when more leases are being returned, a 8-bar battery could just be replaced with a 10-bar battery, with Nissan hoping that it will just get the car past the 5-yr 60k mile limit.

And Nissan didn't offer the additional battery warranty out of good will or anything like that. It was the result of a class action lawsuit.

Leaf SL 2011 to 2016, Volt Premier 2016 to 2019, and now:
