I leased a leaf in ‘12 and fed credit went to the dealership. I’m in NY state.

Is this still the case? Dealership rolls the $7500? Couldn’t get a clear answer from salesman (he honestly didn’t know), and want to check independently. I also cannot get a clear answer in my googles.

I am fairly sure the dealership keeps my state EV credit.

When you lease a car the leasing company (NMAC in this case) owns it, so they get the credit. Nissan used to turn it all over to the lessee in the form of lease incentive cash. Now they keep what they want and pass on what they want. The amount varies. In the case of this $99/month, 24 month lease, they are clearly passing it all on again.

Makes sense, else the car would be free. Thanks :)
