Is this a Good Deal

Hi all,

I am hoping to become a Leaf owner very soon. Would like some opinions if this is a good deal on a leftover 2019 Leaf Plus SV:

MSRP: 41,095
Dealer Discount: 3,000
Nissan Incentives: 7,000
State Tax Credit: 4,000 (They will apply it now if financing through NMAC, which I am)
Taxable Sales Price: 38,095

Total Sales Price: 27,095
Sales Tax: 3,104
Total OTD: 30,199

I still get the the $7500 federal tax credit when I file my taxes for 2020.

Good deal?

Thanks.

I would take it if I could (although I'm looking for specific packages installed).

Sounds like you're in CO. So am I and I am tempted to buy another Leaf. Even though I don't really need it, I could retire an ICE car and when a new one goes for less than the used cars on CL it seems like a no-brainer. Still.....

edit to add: since this is an SV it must have some decent options. I saw some teaser deals on S+ models that were ridiculously cheap but they did not have the cold-weather package! I can't believe that is even an option.

Assuming you qualify for all the discounts:

2019 Nissan Leaf SL Plus 114/94 City/Highway MPG Pricing is subject to include $4000 - CO State Tax Incentive, $2500-3500 - CSU Rebate, Up to ($7,500) for Federal Tax Incentive.. Must Finance with NMAC to qualify. Not Valid with Special APR offer. See store or inquire for more details. Price includes: $1000 - Nissan Conditional Offer - Customer Loyalty Bonus Cash - 2019 Leaf $2000 - Nissan Customer Bonus Cash - 2019 Leaf CR/MAR/WR $500 - Nissan Conditional Offer - US Military or College Grad Program $5000 - Nissan Customer Cash - LEAF

I don't recognize all the rebates but I'm pretty sure the 'Customer Loyalty Bonus Cash' only applies if you already bought a Leaf in a previous year. I have no idea how to qualify for the $5K 'US Military or College Grad Program'. The 'CSU Rebate' sounds like a utility rebate and Xcel is my provider, not CSU. Of course, it always pays to shop around but it's not fair to compare a real out-the-door price to some random ad.

That's fair.

Here's what happened:

MSRP was 40,035

Price out the door with taxes was 27,821

After 7,500 Fed tax credit the final price is bought down to 20,321

The dealer fronted the 4,000 Colorado state tax credit.

Got 8000 in a private sale for the minivan I was replacing. Subtracting that, total cost is 12,321

Satisfied.

No Doubt! You'll pay for that LEAF within 5 years, based on gas savings alone.
