GCC: DOE: Transportation sector consumes more petroleum than all other sectors combined

Industry used to be the biggest consumer of oil mostly for the energy. Some where between the oil embargo and energy crisis they got the message it dropped their oil consumption big time.
Now a large portion of what they use oil for is to make products like plastic and other synthetics. They're not just burning it in boilers or in their own power generation.
